- Aston Martin has unveiled a roofless version of its breathtaking Valhalla supercar
- F1-inspired engineering promises extraordinary performance without sacrificing driving excitement
- With limited production and an eye-watering price tag, this could be one of Aston Martin's most exclusive creations yet
Aston Martin has officially revealed the Valhalla Spider, an open-top version of its mid-engined hybrid hypercar. Unveiled on October 28, 2026, the Spider combines stunning design, extreme performance and advanced Formula 1 technology, making it the fastest open-cockpit Aston Martin ever built.
Despite losing its fixed roof, the Spider retains the same extraordinary performance as the Coupe, thanks to its lightweight carbon-fibre construction and extensively revised aerodynamics.
HYBRID POWERTRAIN Underneath its sculpted bodywork sits a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8, producing approximately 817 hp. Three electric motors contribute a further 247 hp, delivering a combined 1,064 hp and 1,100 Nm of torque through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The performance figures are remarkable: top speed of 217mph (350km/h) and acceleration of 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 2.5 seconds. Two electric motors power the front wheels, while the V8 and third motor drive the rear, providing advanced all-wheel-drive traction and torque vectoring.

OPEN-AIR ENGINEERING One of the Spider's standout features is its removable roof. Buyers can choose between a standard stowable fabric roof and an optional carbon-fibre hardtop. Interestingly, the fabric roof limits maximum speed to 124 mph (200 km/h), while the carbon-fibre hardtop allows the full 217 mph (350 km/h). Even more impressively, the Valhalla can achieve that maximum speed completely roofless.
Aston Martin has redesigned the engine's air intake and introduced a removable wind deflector to manage airflow. Active aerodynamic systems can also generate over 600 kg of downforce, keeping the hypercar stable at extreme speeds.
EXCLUSIVITY COMES AT A PRICE The Valhalla's total production run is limited to just 999 examples, with approximately a quarter expected to be Spiders.
Official pricing remains unconfirmed, although reports suggest the Spider could cost around $1.8 million, a substantial premium over the Coupe's approximately $1 million price. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027.
