INSIDE THE NEW ASTON MARTIN DBX GT
  • Aston Martin introduces a new grand-touring take on the DBX.
  • The DBX GT puts greater emphasis on comfort and refinement.
  • Performance remains very much part of the package.

Aston Martin has expanded its SUV range with the new DBX GT, a more refined and comfort-focused alternative to the harder-edged DBX S. Rather than chasing even more power, the GT focuses on long-distance ability, quieter cruising and a more luxurious overall character, while retaining the performance expected from Aston Martin’s flagship SUV.

V8 POWER Under the hood is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 717 hp and 900 Nm, sending power to all four wheels through a nine-speed wet-clutch automatic transmission. The DBX GT accelerates from 0-60 mph (0-97 kmh) in 3.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 193 mph (310 kmh).

Aston Martin has retuned the throttle, transmission and exhaust to make the GT smoother and more relaxed during everyday driving, while Sport and Sport+ modes retain a more aggressive character.

A SOFTER CHASSIS The biggest differences come from the suspension. GT-specific damper tuning is designed to improve ride comfort over rougher road surfaces, while standard 22-inch forged wheels and all-season tires further reduce road noise and harshness.

The DBX GT still retains fast steering and carbon-ceramic brakes, ensuring the added comfort does not come at the expense of its performance credentials.

MORE LUXURY INSIDE The cabin has also received significant attention. Redesigned front and rear seats feature extra cushioning and memory foam, while semi-aniline leather and deep-pile carpeting reinforce the GT’s more luxurious positioning. Additional sound insulation and acoustic laminated glass make the cabin quieter at speed, helping give the DBX GT a more traditional grand-touring feel.

Exterior changes are similarly restrained, with a redesigned grille, cleaner body-colored detailing and a more understated rear-end treatment helping distinguish the GT from the DBX S.
