- The seven-time Formula One world champion found the supercar after it had spent more than 30 years sitting unused in a gargage.

The One Car Hamilton Still Wanted
Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he is now the proud owner of a Ferrari F40, a car he has described as his dream machine since childhood. The purchase comes after Hamilton revealed in 2025 that he had sold his personal car collection. Despite stepping away from collecting supercars, he made one excpetion clear: the Ferrari F40.
In a post on Instagram, Hamilton stated that "as a kid I dreamt of having one", to the point that he requested to be greeted by a F40 on his first day at Ferrari, affirming "how much it means to me".
Hamilton reflected and said that he no views many supercars as "works of art", not just pieces of metal. He expressed his gratitude to the Ferrari technicians who have worked on his supercar, before pledging to share more information with his follower soon.
The World's Fastest Car
The Ferrari F40 was the fastest car in the world when it was released in 1987, and the first car to ever achieve a top speed in excess of 200mph (322km/h). Powered by a mighty 2.9L twin-turbocharged V8, it has 478hp and 577Nm of torque. In total, 1311 F40s were made and today many change hands for millions of dollars.
