ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIĆ CELEBRATES 45TH BIRTHDAY WITH $4 MILLION FERRARI F80

Zlatan Ibrahimović has celebrated his 45th birthday in typically extravagant fashion, taking delivery of a new Ferrari F80 – one of the rarest and most powerful road cars ever produced by the Italian manufacturer. His specific spec appears to have an exterior finished in grey paint with carbon accents, alongside a yellow Alcantara interior.

The former AC Milan, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain striker revealed the car on October 3, exactly one year after announcing that he had ordered an F80 for his 44th birthday. His example features a dark matte exterior, black wheels and a contrasting yellow driver’s seat. Only 799 F80s will be produced, while Ibrahimović’s car is reported to be worth around $4 million.

CRAZY PERFORMANCE Despite sitting at the top of Ferrari’s road-car range, the F80 doesn’t use the V12 engine traditionally associated with the company’s flagship models. Instead, there’s a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, producing 900 hp and 850 Nm of torque, assisted by an advanced hybrid system derived from Ferrari’s motorsport technology. Combined output rises to a huge 1,200 hp.

Performance is suitably extreme. Ferrari quotes 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.15 seconds, while 124 mph (200 km/h) arrives in just 5.75 seconds. Flat out, the F80 is capable of 217 mph (350 km/h).

ANOTHER FERRARI FOR ZLATAN The F80 continues Ibrahimović’s well-established habit of adding special Ferraris to his collection around his birthday. This one, however, is particularly significant: the F80 is Ferrari’s latest limited-production flagship, following cars including the F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari.

For a footballer whose career was defined by spectacular moments and an unmistakable personality, a 1,200 hp, $4 million Ferrari is a fitting way to celebrate turning 45.
