- A mysterious Aston Martin prototype has been spotted testing
- Its radical design looks unlike anything else on the track
- Behind the scenes, an extraordinary project is taking shape
Billionaire hedge fund founder Ken Griffin is reportedly behind one of Aston Martin’s most outrageous creations yet: a one-off track car designed with a single ambition — to become the fastest racing machine in the world.
The mysterious prototype first appeared in April 2026, but fresh footage from Circuit Paul Ricard in France has brought it back into the spotlight. And judging by its appearance, this is no ordinary Aston Martin.
F1 MEETS BATMAN The unnamed machine looks like a cross between a Formula 1 car and Aston Martin’s Valkyrie hypercar. It features an exposed front suspension, an F1-style halo, dramatic carbon-fibre bodywork and a huge rear wing. Its unusual proportions have already earned it the nickname 'Batmobile', and the performance could be just as outrageous.

Reports suggest the car may use a version of the Valkyrie’s 6.5-litre Cosworth V12, potentially producing around 1,200 horsepower. However, Aston Martin has yet to confirm its specifications.
EXTREME PERFORMANCE The supercar's aggressive styling and aerodynamics certainly seem to make it an extreme track machine, capable of demolishing anything in its away easily with a top speed of over 250mph (402km/h). It is being built with an unlimited budget and does not follow any regulations.
The ambition is extraordinary. Rumours suggest the car could lap certain circuits up to ten seconds faster than a current Formula 1 car, although there is no verified evidence supporting that figure yet.
Griffin's new Aston Martin could be one the greatest supercars of the decade. It is all part of his passion for speed, with his other supercars including a Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1, and Porsche 918 Spyder.
