The Koenigsegg CC850 is one the craziest and most radical supercars ever created. From insane performance to all new technology, in this article we explore the Swedish supercar icon.
A LEGEND REBORN Unveiled in 2022, the Koenigsegg CC850 celebrates 20 years since the launch of the Swedish manufacturer's first production car, the CC8S. Created to mark founder Christian von Koenigsegg's 50th birthday, the CC850 combines classic design with extraordinary modern performance.
Its sleek carbon-fibre bodywork, distinctive circular rear lights and iconic dihedral doors pay homage to the original, while advanced engineering brings the car firmly into the modern era.

AMAZING POWER Beneath the bodywork sits a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, producing an astonishing 1,385 hp and 1,385 Nm of torque when running on E85 fuel. Weighing just 1,385 kg, the CC850 achieves an incredible power-to-weight ratio of 1 hp per kilogram.
However, its most fascinating feature is the Engage Shift System. This groundbreaking transmission allows drivers to switch between a six-speed gated manual, complete with a clutch pedal, and a nine-speed automatic.
AN EXCLUSIVE MASTERPIECE Originally limited to 50 examples, production was increased to just 70 cars following exceptional demand. With a reported starting price of approximately USD 3.65 million, exclusivity comes at a considerable cost.
Unlike hypercars built purely to break speed records, the CC850 focuses on driving enjoyment. By combining nostalgic styling, immense power and revolutionary technology, Koenigsegg has created a machine that celebrates its past while embracing the future.
