WHISTLINDIESEL JUST DROVE A $350K LAMBORGHINI THROUGH A HURRICANE
  • YouTuber WhistlinDiesel has been spotted in an unexpected vehicle during the hurricane
  • His modified Lamborghini Huracán is attracting attention once again
  • The unusual sighting has raised questions about the risks involved

YouTuber Cody Detwiler, better known as WhistlinDiesel, has once again caught the attention of car enthusiasts after being spotted driving his Lamborghini Huracán during Hurricane Isaias in Florida. As the powerful storm brought extreme winds, heavy rainfall and flooding to the Florida Panhandle, the sight of an expensive Italian supercar in the affected area was the last thing many people expected.

A SERIOUS STORM Detwiler had to navigate incredibly deep floodwater which has inundated the streets of the United States, while being mindful of wind speeds in excess of 110mph. It is safe to say that is not the sort of environment that Lamborghini had intended the Huracán to be used in.

Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin, Florida, on Friday, 9 October 2026, as a Category 2 hurricane. WhistlinDiesel has built his reputation by pushing expensive vehicles far beyond their intended limits. His previous videos have featured extreme durability tests involving supercars, pickup trucks and other vehicles. He once bought a $300,000 Ferrari F8 just so he could destroy it.

CRAZY PERFORMANCE The Lamborghini Huracán has a 5.2L naturally-aspirated V10 engine, producing 602hp and 560Nm of torque. With a top speed of 202mph (325km/h), it launches from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 3.2 seconds.

In terms of power, it certainly is not a bad car for storm chasing, especially when you remember that it is four-wheel drive.
