Huracán

2014-2024

The Huracán was the direct successor to the Gallardo, combining Lamborghini's naturally-aspirated V10 with AWD for the first time. Its carbon-fiber and aluminium hybrid chassis and much more usable character helped turn the Huracán into one of Lamborghini's most successful model families. A Huracán Spyder - with a retractable roof - was also made; it is identical in terms of the performance to the coupé variant.

Huracán RWD

The Huracán RWD was unveiled in November 2015 as the rear-wheel-drive altnernative to the "standard" Huracán, with the same V10 engine - although it was detuned. Removing the front drivetrain also made it lighter and have it 40:60 front-to-rear weight distribution, with Lamborghini deliberately curating it as a more playful and driver-focused supercar. A Spyder variant - technically identical to the coupé - was also made.

Huracán Performante

The Performante was the hardcore, track-focused evolution of the original Huracán, gaining more power, losing around 40kg of weight, and introducing Lamborghini's ALA active-aerodynamics system, which could alter aerodynamic load from side to side as well as front to rear. A Spyder variant with a retractable roof was also made.

Huracán EVO

The EVO was the major mid-life evolution of the Huracán, adopting the same engine as the Performante together with all-wheel steering, improved aerodynamics and Lamborghini's new LDVI vehicle-dynamics system. New technology continuously co-ordinates the supercar's steering, AWD, traction and suspension systems; it was designed to predict what the driver wanted to do, rather than simply react afterward. A convertible variant of the EVO was also produced.

Huracán EVO RWD

The EVO RWD took the technology and updated the styling of the EVO but removed the front-driven axle, creating a lighter and more driver-focused Lamborghini. Its V10 was detuned from the EVO's, while Lamborghini developed a dedicated P-TCS traction-control-system specifically to make the rear-drive chassis more engaging and controllable. An EVO RWD Spyder was also offered.

Huracán STO

The STO - Super Trofeo Omologata - was designed as the closest road-going Huracán to Lamborghini's Super Trofeo and GT3 racing cars, using rear-wheel drive, extensive carbon fiber, and a powerful V10. It was 43kg lighter than the Performante and sacrificed outright top speed for greater downforce, braking, and track performance.

Huracán Tecnica

The Tecnica was designed as the middle ground between the road-focused EVO RWD and the hardcore STO, using the same engine as the STO but with a more usable setup. It remained rear-wheel drive and combined STO-derived performance with improved comfort, visibility, and everyday usability.

Huracán Sterrato

The Sterrato was Lamborghini's wild all-terrain interpreation of the Huracán, raising the suspension by 44mm over the EVO and adding AWD, Rally mode, underbody protection and specially developed all-terrain tyres. Its mighty V10 was slightly detuned compared to the EVO, while its top speed was deliberately reduced because the supercar was designed to perform off-road surfaces as well as tarmac.
