Italy's police fleet has gained one of its most spectacular vehicles yet: the Lamborghini Temerario Polizia. The specially liveried supercar was presented at Lamborghini's headquarters in Italy, with Government and Police officials in attendance, alongside Lamborghini executives, including CEO Stephan Winkelmann.
A SERIOUS JOB Despite looking like the ultimate patrol car for catching criminals, this Temerario will have a different, far more serious role to play. The Temerario will be used for high-priority public services, including rapid emergency transportation of donor organs and critical medical supplies across Italy.
Due to the immense performance demanded of such an important role, its a good job the Temerario has a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 with 3 electric motors, so it can reach speeds of up to 213mph (343km/h); speed really is saving lives.
A DEEP RELATIONSHIP The Temerario continues the partnership between Lamborghini and the Italian State Police that began in 2004 with the Gallardo. Since then, police-liveried Gallardos, Huracáns and a Urus Performante have joined the ranks of the force's fleet, with the supercars performing over 200 organ transplant missions.
The vehicles also play a valuable role in promoting engagement with both the public and tourists, with the Lamborghinis acting as a useful bridge with people. The Temerario's striking looks and livery, blue flashing lights, and immense power will certainly attract attention from everywhere, while making a meaningful difference to people across Italy.
