PAGANI HUAYRA 70 ANIMA: THE FINAL ACT
  • Pagani's latest bespoke creation completes an extraordinary three-car celebration
  • A striking new colour scheme gives the iconic Huayra a distinctive identity
  • A formidable V12 and manual gearbox preserve the art of pure driving

The Pagani Huayra continues to defy the passage of time. Despite the arrival of its successor, the Utopia, the Italian marque has once again revisited its celebrated supercar with the Huayra 70 Anima, an extraordinary one-off creation that marks the final chapter of a highly exclusive trilogy celebrating founder Horacio Pagani's 70th birthday.

Developed through Pagani's Grandi Complicazioni division, the Anima follows the Huayra 70 Trionfo and Huayra 70 Derecho, completing a collection of just three individually commissioned machines. Each features its own distinctive character, demonstrating Pagani's remarkable ability to continually reinterpret an already iconic design.

A NEW EXPRESSION OF THE HUAYRA The Anima immediately distinguishes itself through its captivating metallic blue finish, which transitions towards violet depending on the lighting and viewing angle. Unlike the contrasting colours of its predecessors, the Anima adopts a more unified appearance, allowing its intricate carbon-fibre bodywork and dramatic proportions to command attention.

The exterior features extensively reworked aerodynamic elements, including a prominent rear wing, a bespoke engine air intake, revised front bumper with LED daytime running lights, sculpted side skirts and an aggressive rear diffuser. Exclusive Huayra 70 Titanium wheels complete the design, while Pagani's signature centrally mounted quadruple exhaust remains a defining feature of the rear.

V12 POWER, MANUAL PRECISION Beneath the sculpted bodywork sits a Mercedes-AMG-developed 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12, reportedly producing an immense 864hp and 1,100nm of torque. Crucially, this power is channelled to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual gearbox and an electromechanical self-locking differential.

In an era increasingly dominated by automated transmissions and electrification, the decision to retain a traditional manual gearbox reinforces Pagani's commitment to driver involvement. The combination of immense V12 performance and the mechanical engagement of a manual transmission gives the Anima a particularly compelling character.

A FITTING FINALE The Huayra 70 Anima brings an extraordinary anniversary project to a close, following the green-and-orange Trionfo and the striking Pearl Orange-and-Blue Derecho. With only three Huayra 70 examples created, each represents an exceptionally rare expression of Pagani's craftsmanship and bespoke engineering.

Although the Huayra first appeared more than a decade ago, the Anima demonstrates that its story remains far from ordinary. More than simply another special edition, it is a celebration of individuality, mechanical artistry and the enduring appeal of one of Italy's most remarkable supercars.
