The CCR was the more aggressive evolution of Koenigsegg's first production supercar, te CC8S, with revised aerodynamics, larger brakes and wheels, upgraded suspension and the distinctive fixed rear wing. It was also the supercar that challenged Koenigsegg as a serious challenger to the established supercar manufacturers, briefly becoming the world's fastest car before the Bugatti Veyron's arrival.
