The CCGT was Koenigsegg's attempt to enter top-level GT1 racing, with the project aimed primarily at events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although visually related to the CC road supercars, it was a purpose-built competition machine based mainly on CCR and CCX. Unfortunately GT1 racing regulations changed after only a few months of development, making the supercar ineligible and ending the programme before it could race.
