The 612 Scaglietti replaced the 456 as Ferrari's four-seat V12 grand tourer and was named after legendary coachbuilder Sergio Scaglietti. Its Pininfarina-designed body sat over Ferrari's first all-aluminium V12 chassis, with the engine positioned behind the front axle to improve balance while retaining genuine seating for four adults.
