MCLAREN HAS A NEW LOGO

McLaren has unveiled a new visual identity as the company prepares for one of the biggest periods of change in its recent history. The refreshed branding will be used across both McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing, unifying both sides of the business.
A HISTORIC LOGO The biggest change is the new McLaren wordmark, which takes inspiration from the sign above the McLaren family service station in Remura, Aukland, New Zealand. The garage, owned by Bruce McLaren's parents, played an important role in his early life and helped shape his interest in engineering and motorsport, before going on to create one of the world's best supercar manufacturers.
Despite the new look, McLaren is keeping several familiar elements. Its famous 'Speedmark' remains in place, while papaya continues to be a key colour across the brand. The historic 'Speedy Kiwi' symbol wiill also remain part of McLaren's wider identity.
A NEW ERA The rebrand comes as McLaren pushes ahead with an ambitious expansion plan. The company has announced around £500 million of investment in its UK manufacturing and engineering operations, with plans for a new production facility and greater in-house development of engines and transmissions.
McLaren is also working on its first SUV, a major departure from the two-seat supercars that have traditionally defined the brand. The move follows similar expansion by rival manufacturers such as Ferrari and Lamborghini, which have both entered the high-performance SUV market.
McLaren Racing is also preparing to return to the top class of the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2027 with the new MCL-HY Hypercar. The programme will also see McLaren return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, more than three decades after the McLaren F1 GTR won the race outright in 1995.
